SHAMROCKAPALOOZA!!!

Congratulations to the Percussion Ensembles, Concert Band, and Jazz Ensembles on their fantastic performances this week! On Wednesday, April 25, the Concert Band, Beginning Band and Percussion Ensembles treated the audience with the music of Gustav Holst, Frank Ticheli, George M. Cohan, John Philip Sousa, Chick Corea, and Pat Metheny. Two days later, the jazz ensembles welcomed 7-time Grammy Award-winning drummer Paul Wertico to the Stahl Family Theatre Stage. The groups performed the music of Duke Ellington, Tito Puente, Josef Zawinul, Brad Meldhau, Sammy Nestico, Bill Holman, and student composer, Luis Rivas. The final selections of the evening featured Paul Wertico playing Buddy Rich classics with the Honors Jazz Band. It was a week that will be hard to forget. Videos soon to follow..... Elk Grove Percussion Festival Recap



Congratulations to the Saint Patrick Percussion Ensemble II and Honors Percussion Ensemble on their fantastic performance at the 2012 Elk Grove Percussion Festival. At this noncompetitive festival, the groups were treated to wonderful high school performances, helpful comments from clinicians, and an outstanding performance by the professional quartet Third Coast Percussion. Thanks to all who were in attendance.

Music Department Benefit

Please consider joining us for our annual Saint Patrick Music Department Benefit, this year entitled "Club Shamrock." The event will take place Thursday, March 15, at 6:30-9:30 p.m. in the Saint Patrick Performing Arts Centre Atrium. The cost of the event is $20 per person (at the door) and will include drinks (beer, wine, soda), dinner buffet from 7:30-9, and live music from Nia Quintet. Also featured will be a Split the Pot Raffle and Door Prizes. This is a 21 and over event. Proceeds of the event will go to the Saint Patrick Music Department. Invite your friends! Come on out for what will be a fun time of fantastic food and wonderful music! Thanks for your support of Saint Patrick High School Music!

Elk Grove Percussion Festival

Percussion II and Honors Percussion will perform from 2-3 p.m. They have been working very hard and would love to play in front of a large audience. Please come out and show your support!
